Writings & Journalistic Pursuits

Since 2002, I have been chronicaling via articles and interviews, the burgeoning local farm and food movement in the Catskill Mountains and Hudson Valley. For six years, I wrote my own column entitled “Keepin' It Local, Folks” for the Catskill Mountain Region Guide. Eventually, I assumed the role of Farm and Food Editor and penned interviews with local luminaries, original feature articles and a new column, “Power of Flower, Field and Wood” dedicated to local herbalists. In 2008, I transitioned from the Guide to writing for Chronogram Magazine's “Culinary Adventures” and “Home and Garden.” This summer, I look forward to profiling Lazy Crazy Acres uber local ice cream — 'from cow to cone' for Chronogram.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing from the University of Southern California.
